Accessibility Statement

Notice of Accessibility

Equivalent is dedicated to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to make our website and software usable by as many people as possible and continuously enhance the user experience. While we adhere to relevant accessibility standards, we go far beyond mere legal compliance to create truly inclusive and user-friendly technology.

Our Accessibility Policy

We have established an internal policy for our development and design teams to prioritize accessibility at every stage of a project. This policy includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborating with designers and developers to integrate accessibility from the start.

  • Ensuring contrast and color choices meet a minimum 7:1 contrast ratio, aligning with WCAG 2.2+ AAA standards. Exceptions may apply to decorative or expressive elements, provided they do not impact the clarity or intent of the content.

  • All content has great contrast and easy to read fonts. Note: some sample images are displayed to show how not to implement them.

  • This site will respond to Contrast Themes or Inverted Color modes well.

  • All informational images contain an ALT text and decorative images are either relegated to the CSS document or have a null ALT attribute.

  • All pages have valid HTML.

  • Links have been written to make sense out of context. Where this has proved impossible the title tag has been used to expand on their meaning.

  • The website offers full functionality in all modern browsers on PC, Mac OS, Tablets and Smartphones.

  • It has been tested on Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers and with various screen readers.

Our graphics are designed to be exceptionally smart, adapting dynamically to enhance accessibility without compromising creative expression.

Using Plain Language

Writing in a way that people can understand is very important to us. We want to use plain language and make sure that this page is easy to read. And that it is created with our users in mind. The content on this page has been written for people who are familiar with accessibility and inclusion language. But, let us know if anything is confusing or doesn’t make sense to you. We want to do better.
